Description
Bosch Electrical Drives SK announced that it would cease their operations producing electrical drives in its unit located in poorly developed Eastern Slovakia in Presov region. According to the spokesperson, 200 workers will be laid off because of the company closure. Originally, the plant at Presov was targeted to employ up to 4000 workers to meet growing demand for electrical units and drives powering electric bicycles. However, the e-bike market has not developed as expected and as a result existing demand can be met from the company's Hungarian plant at Miskolc.
