Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Kingfa, a manufacturer and supplier of biodegradable granulate, will open a factory in Szprotawa where it will initially employ 100 and eventually 400 people. The new factory will produce biodegradable plastic granulate, which is used in the white goods, automotive and electronics industries, and will also create a research and development centre for the production of new technologies. This will be the company's second plant in Europe. It is scheduled to open between 2024 and 2025. Production and research staff (at the science centre) will be employed. Kingfa is a Chinese manufacturer of modified plastics, special engineering plastic, fine chemical materials, biodegradable materials, wood plastic composites, carbon fiber, composite materials and other products, founded in 1993.
