Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
American healthcare multinational, Carelon, is to create 100 new jobs in Ireland by the end of 2024. The new roles will be based at the company’s research and development site in Limerick.
The background of this business expansion, according to the company, is the growth Carelon has been experiencing. The company first opened a site in Ireland in 2021 and currently employs approximately 200 people in the country. Hiring has already begun for the new jobs which will include product managers, data analysts, scientists, engineers and cyber security staff.
Carelon analyses data to aid medics and health insurers in providing patients with better care.
