Description

Kingfisher plc, a British home improvement company, which operates under retail banners including B&Q, Castorama, Brico Dépôt, Screwfix, TradePoint and Koçtaş is to create 100 new engineering jobs by the end of 2024. Kingfisher, which owns Brico Dépôt Romania, and Endava will open a technology hub in Cluj-Napoca (Cluj County).

The Cluj-Napoca hub engineers will work directly for its portfolio brands in countries as United Kingdom, France, Poland and now Romania. By opening the Cluj-Napoca hub, the company aims to increase its level of innovation and agility, as well as deliver the best possible experiences to its customers globally.

In Romania, Kingfisher entered the local market in 2013 after the acquisition of the Bricostore chain.

In Europe, the company has a workforce of 82,800 employees, operates in eight countries and has 1,900 stores.
