Description
Electric heating manufacturing company, Glen Dimplex, is to cut 100 jobs in the Republic of Ireland over the next two years. The redundancies will begin from August 2024 onwards.
The company will also cut 200 jobs in Northern Ireland. The job cuts are part of a process whereby Glen Dimplex is moving some of its manufacturing business to Lithuania and China. The manufacturing of flame products will move from Dunleer in County Louth to China. The company has begun a staff consultation process.
Glen Dimplex currently employs over 8,000 people globally and 400 people in the Republic of Ireland. The current global restructuring event has been recorded in the ERM events database Glen Dimplex-2024-IE.
