Description
In January 2024, cosmetic store chain Parfumdreams/Akzente announced the closure of its logistic centres in Pfedelbach and Öhringen. 191 logistics employees will therefore lose their jobs until the end of September 2024.
The company announced that this internal restructuring plan results out of the logistic centres being too small to handle the rising volume of online sales. Online orders are now handled by the bigger centre in Hamm (North Rhine-Westphalia).
In 2018, the perfume store chain Parfumdreams/Akzente became a subsidiary of cosmetic retail chain Douglas.
