Danish home retail company JYSK has announced that it will create 400 jobs in Europe.
JYSK plans to open between 30 and 35 stores a year in the Iberian Peninsula and hire 400 staff in Portugal and Spain. The company aims to reach 300 commercial spaces in the Spanish market and 80 in the Portuguese market. Currently, JYSK has 131 and 25 stores, respectively. In 2023, the company posted a turnover of €215 million in Spain and Portugal.
Founded in 1979, JYSK is the largest Danish retail retailer operating internationally. The company sells household goods such as mattresses, furniture, and interior décor. The company has 3,300 stores across 48 countries, employing about 30,000 people.
