Description
Windhager, a traditional Austrian heating manufacturer, based in Seekirchen (Flachgau) has filed for insolvency. 440 employees are set to lose their jobs.
In summer of 2023, 179 of the 440 employees have already been short-time working for three moNths. This measure could not be extended. The Windhager managing director, Stefan Gubi, states that the "extremely negative" market development causes the company financial problems. Windhager had high financial requirements due to the construction of a new factory in Pinsdorf, which had to be stopped.
The trade union has organised works meetings, as the employees have not received their salary in December 2023.
