Description

The company Spanish Roca Tiles, part of the Mexican group Lamosa, has announced an employment redundancy file (ERE) affecting between 140 and 150 workers (out of a reported workforce of 175 people, according to the Spanish business registry) from its manufacturing plant located in the town of Vall d'Uixò, Castellon (Spain).

The management team of the company met last 5th February with the employees’ representative organisations and informed them of the intention to file a redundancy plan for the manufacturing division. In the coming days/week, an official ERE committee between company and employee representatives will be set up to negotiate the ERE contents and conditions.

The company representatives suggested the need to reduce economic losses and their intention to resume production when the conditions of the ceramic sector in the province of Castellón improve.
