Description

Ryanair, a leading passenger airline, has announced that it will invest in its new base in Trieste, in north-eastern Italy and the company will created about 600 new jobs. The investment is expected to be $100 million. The new jobs are expected to include pilots, cabin crew and engineers.

The decision to make this important investment stems from the region's decision to absorb the municipal surcharge on boarding fees on airline tickets. The new investment will allow the company to operate add five new routes, bringing the total to 16, and increase its passenger numbers by 50%, to 750 thousand passengers.
