Description

Despite the recruitment drive scheduled for 2023, Lyon's public transport system (TCL) is still short of staff. Keolis, which manages TCL, is therefore launching a new campaign to recruit 500 employees in 2024, including drivers, maintenance staff, support staff, systems engineers and accountants. According to Keolis, however, these needs are more related to the development of the TCL network and the return of pre-covid ridership than to a real shortage of staff. Given the difficulties encountered in attracting applicants, particularly for driver posts, Keolis has decided to review its recruitment techniques. The first step in this process is to set up partnerships with Pôle Emploi and the Maison métropolitaine d'insertion pour l'emploi. Several announcements were already recorded in the ERM Database: 500 job creations in 2023 (Keolis.Lyon-2023-FR). Three former job creations have been recorded in June 2018 with 500 job creations (Keolis.Lyon-2018-FR), in April 2019 with 100 job creations (Keolis.Lyon-2019a-FR) and in September 2019, with 250 job creations (Keolis.Lyon-2019b-FR).
