Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Maxcess, a company that manufactures production lines maintenance equipment, has begun construction of a new production facility in Łubowo near Gniezno, where it will employ 350 people. The new plant will be the company's main European facility; the location was chosen for its central position, favourable business conditions and access to an educated workforce. The official opening of the factory has been announced for July 2024; the first machines are expected to start operating as early as April 2024. Production workers will be employed. Maxcess is a manufacturer of networking components and customisation services. Headquartered in Oakbrook, Illinois, the company has more than a dozen manufacturing and sales facilities and more than 2,000 employees in North America, South America, Latin America, Europe, Asia, India, China and Australia.
