Description
Car manufacturer Stellantis, the result of the merger between the PSA group and the Fiat-Chrysler group, has announced that it will be recruiting 320 employees for production positions in 2024, to strengthen its workforce at its various French sites. This announcement follows the signing of a new agreement on "managing jobs and career paths" (GPEC) with the FO, CFE-CGC, CFTC and CFDT trade unions for the next three years in France. According to the management, the agreement is designed to assist employees to face changes associated with the digital revolution, ecological transition and the adoption of new work approaches. The goal is to transform into a "Tech Company" specializing in sustainable mobility. In spring 2023, the Group announced the recruitment of 1,200 people in France, thereby stabilising the workforce in the country. A voluntary redundancy plan has been in place since 2022, providing for the departure of 2,600 people.
