Description

Heineken España, a manufacturer of beers with brands such as Cruzcampo, Heineken or El Águila, has announced an Employment Redundancy Plan (ERE) in agreement with the trade unions. Accordingly, 127 people will be made redundant, representing 8.8% of the company's workforce of 1,434 employees.

Most of these staff departures will take the form of early retirement. This employment reduction has been endorsed by 85% of the workers. The company has justified the departures on organisational grounds. In its opinion, the plan lays the foundation for "superior and sustainable growth".

The company has production plants in Andalusia (Seville, Malaga and Jaen), Madrid and Valencia.
