Description

As announced on 10 December 2023, the German engineering and technology company Bosch will be cutting up to 1,500 jobs in Germany until the end of 2025.

According to a spokesperson of Bosch, the company will reduce its personnel in its drive division significantly at both of its plants in Stuttgart-Feuerbach and Schwieberdingen. Affected will be the areas development, administration and sales. In accordance with an agreement concluded in summer, Bosch will exempt operational redundancies. Bosch has started negotiations with workers’ representatives and is optimistic, that the job reduction can be achieved via natural fluctuation. The focus will be on early-retirement programmes and voluntary agreements.

Bosch currently has 80,000 employees in its mobility sector in Germany.
