Description
MyShoes, a subsidiary of the Deichmann Group, with 29 points of sale in seven different Austrian federal states, ceases operations in Austria, leading to the loss of 150 jobs.
In total, 150 employees are to be affected by the closure in the upcoming months. The stores are to be closed by December 31, 2024, at the latest. The company claims that the business model as an all-round provider is not economically viable any longer. The chain therefore ceases operations completely. The company names the effects of the coronavirus pandemic, the invasion of Ukraine and the conflict in the Middle East as well as increased costs and consumer restraint as reasons for the closure.
