Description

Sports Unlimited Retail, the mother company of sport shop chains Sprinter, Perry Sport, and Aktiesport in the Netherlands, is declared bankrupt. 1100 jobs will be lost across approximately 54 shops in the Netherlands.

The company was converting Perry Sport and Aktiesport shops to Sprinter shops when the bankruptcy was announced. The previous mother company of Perry Sport and Aktiesport went bankrupt in 2016, JD took over 187 of the then 350 locations. Since then, both chains have been reducing their capacities.
