Description
Wielton, a manufacturer of semi-trailers, trailers and car bodies, plans to open a factory in Bełchatów, where it will employ 200 people. The factory's investor will be Wielton's subsidiary Wielton Reefer (production of refrigerated trailers), which received financial support for the expansion within the Łódź Special Economic Zone (support from public funds); the construction of the factory is linked to the company's expansion. The new factory will have two production lines: the main one for the production of refrigerated bodies and the second one consisting in a line of components for the production of walls and roofs for van trailers. The factory is due to open in the second half of 2024, and recruitment for the first positions has already begun. Production specialists will be employed. The Wielton Group manufactures semi-trailers, trailers and car bodies; it has five production centres, an assembly plant and sales branches in Europe and Africa. Its products are sold in 35 countries in Europe, Asia and Africa.
