Description
The Swedish grocery stores chain Coop has announced last week that they will make 100 employees redundant at their main offices in Solna, Stockholm. This measure, together with other organisational changes, is an attempt to reduce expenditures by around SEK 300 million (around € 26 million). According to Coop, this is because of an increase in energy and transport costs, and increased rents. These organisational changes will begin on 01/01/2024.
Around 20,000 employees are employed at Coop around Sweden. There has, as of now, been no official comment from the employee representatives.
