Description
Pošta Slovenije, a state-owned company providing postal, financial services and logistics, will lay off between 150 and 200 employees.
In the public release, the Trade Union of Post Workers disclosed that the State Sovereign Holding (SDH) and the post agreed to reduce employment by 200 workers. The company did not deny the news. The trade union explained that planned layoffs will be indirect via retirement and unrenewed fixed-term contracts.
The trade union announced a strike due to announced layoffs and the digital surveillance of workers, which, the trade union claims, is illegal. For this reason, the union filed a complaint with the Information Commissioner.
