Description

The Swedish pulp and paper manufacturer Billerud has announced plans to reduce its workforce by 350 workers. The restructuring will affect all the company's Nordic paper mills, including the ones in Frövi (Örebro), Kalix (Norrbotten), Grums (Värmland), Gävle (Gävleborg), Skärblacka (Östergötland) in Sweden and Pietarsaari in Finland. Around 238 workers will lose their jobs in Sweden. The restructuring is part of a reorganization plan through which the company aims at increasing efficiency and market competitivity.

Cooperation negotiations will start in the shift between October and November.
