European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
On 13 November 2023, German newspapers reported that package delivery company DHL opened a new hall at its parcel distribution centre in Hamburg, creating 220 new jobs.
As more and more packages needed to be sorted and delivered, the site in Hamburg was expanded. The business expansion goes hand in hand with the creation of new jobs. Until the end of 2025, 220 new jobs will be created at the expanded site. The new jobs will be covered by the collective bargaining agreement of the company.
