Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Ferrari, the well-known Italian sports car manufacturer, has announced plans to hire 250 new employees at its Maranello headquarters in the province of Modena in 2024. This hiring process will be divided into two stages: about half of these positions are expected to be filled by January, with the rest to be completed by June.
In addition to expanding its workforce, Ferrari has also planned a competitiveness bonus in agreement with the trade unions. This bonus will be linked to a sustainability parameter, reflecting the company's focus on sustainable practices alongside its business objectives. This approach indicates Ferrari's commitment to integrating environmental considerations into its operational strategies.
