Description
The American multinational tire manufacturer Goodyear has announced a global restructuring plan, cutting 1,200 jobs.
The affected countries are Germany with 550 employees to be made redundant in Fulda, Luxembourg with 55 affected employees, and other European, Middle Eastern as well as African countries. Further details on the number of employees which will be made redundant in other countries are not yet available.
The background of this restructuring plan is that Goodyear has been lagging behind market rivals. The restructuring plan is to be implemented in 2024 and 2025.
