Description

Autoglas-Glavista, a company dedicated to the manufacturing of windscreens for the automotive sector located in Llodio (Alava, Basque Country), has announced an employment redundancy plan (ERE) for the total workforce of the company, namely 240 employees.

The insolvency administrator of Autoglas-Glavista has informed the workers that the process to close the company and consequently dismiss all workers is to start in the first week of October 2023. The employees are currently in a temporary employment redundancy plan (ERTE). A period of 30 days is now open for the different parties to reach an agreement.

The workers' representatives have shown their rejection of the ERE, and are developing a series of protest activities, although they are pessimistic about the future of the company. Meanwhile, the public authorities are trying to find an industrial partner to keep the business operating, with little success thus far.
