Description

As announced on 18 September 2023, the German ink manufacturer Hubergroup will be cutting 300 jobs in Germany as part of an internal restructuring plan which includes the offshoring of certain aspects of production by the end of 2024.

According to the company, 250 employees will be affected in the field of production in Celle and 50 employees in Kirchheim. Hubergroup intends to cease its serial production of paints at the Celle plant and move the production to its Polish plant in Breslau. The production of special paints will remain in Celle. According to Hubergroup, the job reduction is inevitable due to the massive decline of the European market for printing paint between 2016 and 2023 by 50%.

Hubergroup currently has 3,300 employees worldwide.
