Description

The City of Zagreb announced that it will hire 300 new employees. The City of Zagreb is the capital of Croatia, but also a unit of local and regional administration.

The needed workers are to be employed in various of the city's administrative departments and offices. The City Office for Reconstruction, Construction, Spatial Planning and Communal Affairs will employ 88 new workers, mostly communal and traffic wardens. The City Office for Education intends to fill additional positions with staff who will deal with the renovation and expansion of capacities in schools, kindergartens and sports facilities, in which EUR 300 million will be invested. The city’s representative explains that these investments cannot be implemented without expanding human capacities. Finally, the city also needs additional people who will work on projects financed by the European Union.

A number of job positions are open because of former employees having retired, and many of the jobs created are new positions, while the exact numbers are not specified.
