Description
Billerud Korsnäs is a Swedish pulp and paper manufacturer. The company has announced that it will move a machine-glazed paper machine from Finland, to Skärblacka in Sweden. Moreover, the company will rebuild an existing paper machine in Skärblacka to increase its paper coating capacity. The company said it would invest in Skärblacka to increase surface treatment capacity on the mill's PM 7. The relocation of the Tervasaari MG kraft paper machine and the PM 7 investment are part of the company's plans first announced in autumn 2015. The investments should cost around EUR 138.48mn should start during the year 2016 to be operative in Q1 2018. The company expects to create 40 new jobs through the operation.
