European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Põltsamaa Felix is an Estonian company that produces a variety of dairy products, as well as juices, canned vegetables, soups, sauces and seasonings. Orkla, the Norwegian owner of the company, has decided to reorganize the production of several branches in order to gain competivity through specialization. In particular Põltsamaa Felix should stop the production of sauces and seasonings relocating it to another Orkla company in Latvia. Meanwhile, the production of fruit juices of Põltsamaa Felix is going to be backshored from Latvia to Estonia. The move would make 13 employees out of 200 redundant at Põltsamaa Felix.
