Description

Leoni Wiring Systems, the Romanian subsidiary of the German Group Leoni, announced plans to create 1,200 new jobs in Romania by the end of the year. The new jobs will be created at the new plant in Beius (Arad County) which is the company’s tenth plant in Romania. The company has invested €17.5 million for the building of the Beius plant. The investment involved the renovation of dated infrastructure  and the addition of modern production lines aligned to international standards.

A state-of-the-art integrated computerised system used for monitoring the production process was installed at the plant. By investing in this plant, Leoni is developing its production capacity to be able to meet current demand and future projects it could bring to Romania.

The Leoni Group has entered on the Romanian market in 1999 and currently has 12,000 employees in Arad and Beius (Arad County), Bacov (Arges County) and Bistrita (Bistrita-Nasaud County).

The group employs around 95,000 people in 27 countries and generated consolidated sales of €5.1 billion in 2022.
