Description
Hungarian frozen food producer AgroSprint inaugurated a new production hall in Karcag. The announced expansion plans to create at least 60 new jobs. With the addition of the new production capacities, the firm becomes the largest provider of frozen sweetcorn in Europe. The investment cost was roughly €32 million. The government covered 40% of the cost with a non-refundable grant.Due to the investment, the firm will increase its demand for "industrial vegetables", while at the same time, the ongoing irrigation development projects will enhance the capacity of producers to raise the output of these vegetables across the county and the whole Great Plain.
