Coop Denmark, one of the largest supermarket chains in Denmark, has announced it will dismiss 180 employees in its headquarters in Albertslund, which entails an amalgamation of positions and fewer management layers at the headquarter. A number of different supermarket chains for Coop Denmark, have experienced large deficits in recent years. In the beginning of 2023 it announced the closing of one of its supermarkets, namely Irma. The companys deficit in 2022 was historic amounting to a loss of almost 2 million danish kroner each day in 2022.
