Description

Germany-based international company Jungheinrich, a supplier of handling equipment, has announced an expansion plan to employ 350 people at its newly built plant in the Czech town of Chomutov. The plant is worth more than CZK 1.5 billion (€59.9 million) and is due to start production in mid-2023. The new facility will mainly produce reach trucks.

The Chomutov plant will be one of the most modern production plants in the world. The project also considers the surroundings near the zone, which is firmly connected with coal mining, and envisages investing to support biodiversity.

Globally, Jungheinrich operates 13 production plants and 41 service and sales companies worldwide with more than 19,000 employees.

Update 11/10/2023

Jungheinrich has officially inaugurated its new plant for the production of handling equipment in Chomutov in October 2023.
