Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Critical Techworks, a joint venture between German automaker BMW and the Portuguese software company Critical Software that develops mobility solutions for BMW vehicles will to expand its workforce by 25% in 2023.
Since 2018, the company has developed more than 200 projects for the BMW group. This year it will open new facilities in Lisbon - the K-Tower in the Parque das Nações, Lisbon.
The company will recruit more than 500 workers, in particular for Lisbon office but also for unit located in Porto. The company is looking for professionals skilled in Java, Python, Android, C , frontend development, Data Engineering and data science, cyber security, SAP, UX Designer, visual designers and product owners.
In 2022, the company had 2,000 employees, between Lisbon and Porto offices.
