Description

The international credit management company Intrum, based in Lithuania, has warned 120 employees about layoffs. The company informed PES about the dismissal of the group of employees on the 1st of March.

The company's report states that the number of employees is being reduced due to changes in work organization, which will cause accountants and analysts to lose their jobs. According to State Insurance Fund Board (Sodra), there are currently 533 employees at Intrum Global Business Services based in Vilnius. In May 2022, the company announced that it plans to expand in Lithuania and is preparing to hire an additional 100 employees.

In Vilnius, the company was established in 2014 as a Lindorff business service center, and in 2017 it merged with Intrum Justitia to become Intrum. Intrum provides debt collection, credit optimization, business analytics, debt management and other services to 80,000 companies in 24 European countries. Its headquarters is located in Stockholm and the company's shares are listed on the Nasdaq stock exchange.
