Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Enel Distribuzione, Enel's electricity distribution company, will hire 1250 people in 2023, according to an agreement with the trade unions. Of the 1250 new hires, 850 will be made by April.
The new hires will mainly concern young workers and technicians, to support the company's existing workforce and the distribution network financed by the new PNRR funds.
The trade unions involved in the agreement will monitor the entry of new employees, with the aim of fostering the growth of the workforce also in 2024.
Enel had reduced his workforce in a previous agreement in 2021 (Enel 2021 - IT).
