Description

Multinational chip manufacturer Intel is to cut 130 jobs in Ireland as part of its global cost-cutting plan that was announced in 2022.

In December 2022, Intel informed the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment that it would be cutting 100 jobs in Ireland.

In January 2023 the company announced a further 30 compulsory redundancies, which are in non-manufacturing roles.

Intel employs about 5,000 people in Ireland, with the majority of these employees located at its manufacturing base in Leixlip, Co Kildare.

Previous restructuring events have been recorded for Intel in the ERM Events database.
