Description

The Österreichische Bundesbahnen (OEBB), the biggest railway company in Austria, is setting measures for "the biggest upcoming change of generations in the history of the OEBB", as the OEBB CEO Andreas Matthä states. Until 2027 about one fifth of the employees will retire. Therefore, OEBB Styria in Graz offers 250 railway-specific jobs in traction vehicle management, train escorting, shifting, dispatch and vehicle maintenance. The company is also recruiting IT specialists to assist in it's digitisation of future rail operations. Moreover, the OEBB Styria is looking for 100 new apprentices. As a special incentive the OEBB offers a bonus of €5000, as well as a new iPhone as a welcome gift to their new employees.

OEBB anticipates that it will recruit on average 3000 people per year and 15000 over the next five years.
