Cersanit is a producer of ceramic tiles and bathroom fittings, based in Poland. The company informed the Employment Office about planned reductions in its workforce. The company informed that the decision is a result of the increasing energy prices and economic losses suffered after the 2022 Starachowice Plant fire. The exact plan for lay-offs has not yet been communicated, however, the process will affect employees working in WaÅ‚brzych, Krasny Staw, and Opoczno.  Â
Cersanit started operations in Poland in 1992. Currently, the company employs 5,500 employees in seven locations world-wide.Â
