German company, Porsche Engineering, a technology services provider and subsidiary of Porsche, announced it is strengthening its presence in Romania with the official opening of its office in Timisoara. The company has long-term development plans and intends to hire 100 people in 2023, among which 50 will be software developers and engineers, to be based in Timisoara.
The company is looking for specialized persons in areas such as AI, Big Data, Cloud, Infotainment, ADAS, Connectivity, but also in other segments of the automotive IT sphere that will support the development of smart and connected vehicles of the future. In Romania, the company has two research and development offices in Cluj-Napoca (Cluj County) and Timisoara (Timis County), with a total of 239 employees.
Currently, Porsche Engineering has a workforce of 1,600 engineers and software developers. Globally, Porsche Engineering has a network of centers in Weissach, Bietigheim-Bissingen, Wolfsburg, Leipzig (all in Germany), Prague, Ostrava (both in the Czech Republic), Shanghai, Beijing (Republic of China), Nardò (Italy).
