Description

Continental, Germany's automotive component production giant, is expanding in Lithuania and is to create around 100 new jobs in Kaunas over the next few years. On 7 November 2022, the company has announced the opening of a new service centre in Kaunas that will serve Continental's business customers in Italy, Germany, France and other European countries. According to the management, the service centre is an additional investment of the company, which is not part of the project of the already operating Continental factory in Kaunas. The centre will perform data analysis and processing as well as administration functions, and will hire about 100 employees in the next few years. The company will be looking for data analysts, logistics operations specialists, project managers and other professionals. Currently, Continental employs 690 employees in Lithuania.

Continental is a one of the leading manufacturers of automotive electronic components in the world. The company operates in 58 countries and employs around 236,000 employees worldwide.

Previous business expansions were recorded in the ERM database early in January 2022, with 500 jobs created (Continental Automotive Lithuania-2022-LT).
