Description

Mölnlycke, a Swedish multinational company that is specialised in products related to wound care and surgery has announced it will close the Global costumer care in Waremme to other facilities abroad, therefore 41 employees will lose their jobs. The global custumer care will be relocated locally: France, Spain, Swizerland, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland. The effort is part of a strategic decision undertaken by the company management.

Trade unions and employees at the site were displeased when receiving the news and stated they have been treated poorly by the company for a significant period of time. The Wet Renault has come into place, given the size of the dismissals, meaning further negotiations between trade unions and management have to be undertaken.
