Description

Caroli Hotels, a chain of five hotels operating since 1966 in Gallipoli and Santa Maria di Leuca in the province of Lecce, Puglia, has announced that it will shut down operations. Around 275 employees will be affected.

The closure is due to 'disproportionate and unsustainable' costs, citing rising energy costs which make it no longer possible to continue operations. An official notice was sent to the Prefecture of Lecce by the general manager informing that hotel and restaurant services would be discontinued with immediate effect.
