Description
The poultry products manufacturing group, Maître Coq, has announced investments of more than €20 million and the recruitment of 250 employees on permanent contracts in France. This is good news for the group, which had to reduce its activity by 30% due to the bird flu and close its slaughterhouses between May and July 2022. The 250 recruitments are mainly related to the resumption of activity, but there will also be the replacement of 50 to 60 people who will retire. Net creations can be estimated at 200 positions. At its Sainte-Hermine site (365 employees, Vendée), Maître Coq has commissioned a new breaded product line capable of producing 6 tonnes of products (nuggets, cordons-bleus, etc.). This will result in the creation of two additional teams, i.e. 45 jobs. A new cooking line has been commissioned at the Chavagnes-en-Paillers factory (350 employees, Vendée) where around forty jobs are to be filled.
