Ryanair, an Irish airline company operating at the Vienna International Airport in Schwechat, Lower Austria, expands the winter flight schedule, creating 600 new jobs. Aiming at growth and an upturn in tourism Ryanair-CEO Michael O'Leary announced an "record winter flight schedule", usually starting from October 2022, extended by eight destinations, 17 new planes stationed in Vienna and 600 additional flights per week. The company has invested 1,7 billion dollars in the Vienna-Schwechat site for this purpose.
Ryanair has a total of 17,268 employees and a turnover of 8,4 million euros (as of March-April 2020).
