Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The US-based DXC Technology, a multinational of information technology services and consulting company, will invest a total of €15 million in its Portuguese unit, located in Oeiras - Lisbon, and has announced to recruit 100 engineers until the end of 2022. DXC settled in Portugal since 2017 and have a total of 600 workers. Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Portuguese unit has created 100 jobs.
The DXC Technology group has 130,000 employees worldwide and is represented in over 70 countries.
