European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Rokiskio pieno gamyba, a Lithuanian dairy processing company, is to dismiss 110 employees in its subsidiary in Ukmerge in 2022. The company has already handed out layoff notices to all 110 employees and informed the Public Employment Service about the dismissals. Workers who have been warned of redundancies include dairy production workers, foremen, operators, testers and others. According to the management, employees are laid off due to changes in work organisation that have made some jobs redundant.
Rokiskio pieno gamyba belongs to Rokiskio suris group which is one of the largest producers of dairy products in Lithuania. Currently, Rokiskio pieno gamyba employs 276 employees, including 133 employees working at the subsidiary in Ukmerge.
