Description
Mixor, a subsidiary of the Food Delivery Brands restaurant group, which manages Pizza Hut shops in Spain, has reached a majority agreement with workers' representatives for the presentation of an ERE (‘Expediente de Regulación de Empleo’ or Redundancy procedure), derived from the closure of its own shops in Spain. The agreement will affect a total of 276 employees, and by 15 August 2022 22 Pizza Hut shops in Spain will be closed. Specifically, the ERE provides for a severance payment of 30 days per year worked for workers, with no monthly payment ceilings.
The company has decided to change the business model and to focus the operation of Pizza Hut through franchised restaurants in Spain.
The company's initial proposal for the ERE, launched in mid-June, was for 300 redundancies and the closure of 25 outlets.
