Description

Enefit Power, a company managing oil shale mines and thermal power plants in state-owned energy production group Eesti Energia, plans to hire over 100 employees by the beginning of September 2022. The company has already hired around 300 employees recently. In November 2021, the old power generation units were re-opened, thus the demand for oil shale increased and the number of employees in mining had to be increased. The units will be operating again for an unspecified period. Depending on the arrival of mining machines and equipment, the company will plan to hire more employees during the coming 1.5-2 years.

Currently, Enefit Power employs 1,812 people in Estonia.

Updated, 30/08/22: By the end of 2022, Enefit Power will hire additional 200 people due to the increased need for oil shale in the energy market. Initially, the company announced that it would hire 100 people by the beginning of September. It is not clear how many of those 100 have been already hired, thus since summer by the end of 2022 up to 300 people could find a job in Enefit Power.
