Description
Nordex Energy Spain SAU, part of the German group that manufactures wind generators, has announced an ERE (‘Expediente de Regulación de Empleo’ or Redundancy procedure) to lay off 136 people working following the closure of the plant in Motilla del Palancar (Cuenca). The plant was inaugurated just two years ago, in 2020, and is dedicated to the manufacture of concrete bases for the foundations of wind generators.
The CCOO union has described the plan as unfair and shameful. From 5 August, the consultation period with the trade unions will begin, in order to negotiate the conditions of the redundancies.
